I want to address the ideas of organization and action. I don't like the idea of belittling discussion and theory, because I think those play an important role in guiding movements and identifying underlying causes of oppression and exploitation. I also think writing is an important action that can be taken; not all actions are about showing up in a group at some public location. Some actions are about inspiring and informing others; it's why I majored in journalism.

How ... ever, there has to be more to it than that, as well. Just talk isn't going to get anything done in the end. So, I wanted to ask the members here what organizations they belong to that they find especially beneficial. What actions to you think get the most response?

I have some problems with the IWW in regards to their stance on sex worker unions, but that's one organization I've begun working with because I agree with them on other things. I very much believe in working together on those things you agree about. I don't think you're ever going to agree on everything. Do others follow this way of thinking, or are you insistent on agreeing about every point? What groups in your community do you find most productive? These can be specifically feminist or general Leftist. (Kim) casual informal wears for mother of the bride
